Chengdu Xingrong Environmental revises waste slag project, expands water plant

Chengdu Xingrong Environmental's board of directors approved a revised plan for its waste incineration slag resource utilization project. The original Jintang slag project, approved in November 2024, has been terminated due to a change in location. Consequently, the company will initiate the dissolution and liquidation of Chengdu Jintang Xingrong Renewable Resources Utilization Co., Ltd.

The adjusted project will now be implemented by a joint venture between Xingrong Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Sino-French Ecological Park Investment and Development Co., Ltd. The joint venture, with a registered capital of 95 million yuan, will see Xingrong Renewable Energy hold an 80% stake. The new project site in Luodai Town, Longquanyi District, will handle 2,050 tonnes of slag per day, with an estimated total investment of approximately 317 million yuan. This adjustment, which includes land acquisition and self-built factories, increases the initial investment but is expected to reduce transportation costs.

Additionally, the board approved the establishment of a project company by its subsidiary, Chengdu Tap Water Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Xinjin Minjiang Ecological Environmental Industry Development Group Co., Ltd., to implement the second phase of the Xinjin Huayuan Water Plant expansion. This project, with an estimated total investment of 1.03 billion yuan, will have a registered capital of 300 million yuan, with Chengdu Tap Water holding 51%. The expansion includes a water plant with a design capacity of 150,000 tonnes per day and supporting pipeline networks.
