Hesteel Corporation proposes new director candidates, sets extraordinary general meeting

Hesteel Corporation (000709) held its sixth board of directors' fifth meeting on November 10, 2025, with all nine participating directors unanimously approving the nomination of Han Jian and Wang Baowei as director candidates. Han Jian, born in February 1970, and Wang Baowei, born in July 1975, both bring extensive experience from within the Hesteel Group. Han Jian currently serves as general manager and vice chairman of Handan Iron & Steel Company, and Wang Baowei as chief accountant for Hesteel Corporation. Neither candidate holds company shares, nor have they been subject to regulatory penalties.

The board also unanimously approved the convening of the 2025 second extraordinary general meeting, scheduled for November 26, 2025. This meeting will seek shareholder approval for the newly proposed director candidates.
