Guodian Changyuan sees October power generation fall 32% on thermal output drop

Guodian Changyuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. announced a 32.25% year-on-year decrease in total electricity generation for October 2025, reaching 2.149 billion kilowatt-hours. This decline was largely attributed to a 42.48% drop in thermal power generation. In contrast, hydropower generation saw a significant increase of 689.27%, while new energy generation (wind and solar) decreased by 36.22%.

For the cumulative period from January to October 2025, the company's total electricity generation was 29.481 billion kilowatt-hours, representing a 10.55% decrease compared to the same period last year. Thermal power generation for this ten-month period fell by 12.70%, while hydropower increased by 12.96%. New energy generation showed a modest increase of 2.42% year-on-year.

The company cautioned that these figures are preliminary and subject to change, influenced by factors such as weather, water availability, seasonal variations, installed capacity adjustments, and equipment maintenance. Investors are advised against using these figures to directly estimate the company's operating performance and should exercise caution.
