Hubei Energy sees strong October generation growth despite YTD decline

Hubei Energy Group Co., Ltd. announced a 19.27% year-on-year increase in power generation for October 2025, reaching 3.534 billion kilowatt-hours. This surge was primarily driven by an 803.77% increase in hydropower generation. In contrast, thermal power generation decreased by 47.49% and new energy generation saw an 18.67% decline.

For the year to date, the company's cumulative power generation stood at 36.488 billion kilowatt-hours, representing a slight decrease of 0.79% compared to the previous year. Hydropower generation for the year decreased by 3.50%, and thermal power generation fell by 7.40%. Conversely, new energy generation increased significantly by 29.54% year-on-year.

The company cautioned that these preliminary figures are subject to variability due to factors such as weather, water conditions, seasonal impacts, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections. Investors are advised against extrapolating full-year performance solely based on this data.
