Giant Network appoints new general manager, revamps governance framework

Giant Network Group has appointed Liu Wei as its new general manager, effective from the board's approval on October 27, 2025, for a term extending until the end of the Sixth Board of Directors' tenure. This appointment follows the resignation of Zhang Dong, who stepped down due to personal reasons and will no longer hold any positions within the company or its subsidiaries. Liu Wei previously served as the company’s general manager from April 2016 to December 2023.

The company's Sixth Board of Directors, at its sixteenth meeting on October 27, 2025, approved the third-quarter report, showing total assets of CNY 18,189,523,783.62 and operating income of CNY 3,368,421,677.17 for the period. Concurrently, the board initiated significant revisions to the company's Articles of Association and other corporate governance documents, including rules for shareholder meetings, board meetings, and specialized committees.

These revisions, which include the abolition of the Supervisory Board, transfer of supervisory powers to the Audit Committee, and updates to policies on related-party transactions and internal controls, are set to be submitted for approval at the Second Interim Shareholders' Meeting on November 17, 2025.
