Zhongfu Straits Pingtan invests idle funds in wealth management products

Zhongfu Straits Pingtan Development Co., Ltd. has announced further utilization of its idle self-owned funds for purchasing wealth management products. This follows a resolution passed on December 30, 2024, by the eleventh board of directors and the eleventh board of supervisors, authorizing the company and its subsidiaries to acquire low-risk, high-liquidity wealth management products from financial institutions such as banks and securities firms. The maximum outstanding principal for these investments is capped at 800m yuan, with funds being continuously reinvested within this limit from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

As of the date of this announcement, the cumulative undisclosed amount of wealth management product purchases by the company has exceeded 10% of its net assets as audited in the most recent fiscal year, meeting the disclosure standards set by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Listing Rules. The latest transactions include four new investments: two structured deposits from China Everbright Bank Fuzhou Hualin Sub-branch totaling 125m yuan, maturing in January 2026 with estimated annual yields between 1.00% and 1.71%; and two structured deposits from China Merchants Bank Fuzhou Branch, totaling 170m yuan, maturing in October 2025 with estimated annual yields between 1.00% and 1.46%. All these new purchases were made using idle self-owned funds.

The company emphasizes that these investments are conducted under strict risk control measures, including board authorization for management to make investment decisions, timely information disclosure, financial department oversight, and supervision by independent directors and supervisors. These measures aim to ensure that daily operations, liquidity, and security are not affected, while enhancing fund utilization efficiency and generating investment returns for shareholders.
