Tianqi Lithium's Jiangsu lithium hydroxide project starts production

Tianqi Lithium Corp. has announced that its Jiangsu Zhangjiagang project, designed to produce 30,000 tons per annum of battery-grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate, has successfully produced its first bag of product. Internal lab tests on October 17, 2025, confirmed all parameters meet battery-grade standards, marking a significant step towards continuous stable production. The project, with a total investment not exceeding CNY 2 billion, reached completion and entered trial operation by July 30, 2025.

The company plans ongoing debugging and optimization to achieve continuous, stable production, followed by third-party lab testing and customer qualification. Commercial production and capacity ramp-up will proceed gradually. The project aims to expand Tianqi Lithium’s lithium salt processing capacity and enhance profitability.

In a related announcement, Tianqi Lithium will hold a board meeting on October 29, 2025, to review and approve its third-quarter results for the period ended September 30, 2025.
