Shaoneng Group gets antitrust nod, unveils smart control center investment

Guangdong Shaoneng Group (SZSE:000601) has received antitrust clearance from the State Administration for Market Regulation for the acquisition of its equity by Shaoguan Jincai Investment Group Co., Ltd., allowing the concentration to proceed. This follows a proposal where Shaoneng Group will issue shares to Jincai Investment at a price of CNY 3.96 per share, totaling up to 101,010,101 shares for a maximum of CNY 400 million. Post-issuance, Shaoguan Industrial Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Jincai Investment will jointly hold 21.75% of the company's shares, making them co-controlling shareholders, with the Shaoguan Municipal People's Government State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission becoming the ultimate actual controller.

In a separate strategic move, Shaoneng Group plans to invest in the first phase of a smart centralized control center project, with an estimated total investment of CNY 48.4886 million. The initial phase is budgeted at CNY 8.7005 million and aims to enhance the operational efficiency of its renewable energy businesses, including hydropower, biomass, and solar power, by adopting an intelligent, centralized management model.

The smart control center project, scheduled for a three-month construction period, is expected to be operational by December 2025. This initiative is designed to integrate the company's dispersed energy assets under a unified control system, promoting "fewer people on duty, no one on duty" operations and aligning with national industrial policies encouraging intelligent energy management.
