BDStar names Meng Qingyi new non-independent director after Zhou Chongyuan's resignation

Beijing BDStar Navigation announced that Mr. Zhou Chongyuan has resigned from his positions as a director and from the strategy and nomination committees of the Seventh Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Zhou's resignation, due to work adjustments, does not impact the board's minimum quorum or normal operations. The company expressed gratitude for his contributions.

In response, the board has nominated Mr. Meng Qingyi as a non-independent director candidate for the Seventh Board of Directors. Mr. Meng, born in August 1989, holds degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Stanford University. His professional background includes roles at China Development Bank and currently as a senior manager at Huaxin Investment Co., Ltd., along with non-independent directorships at other companies. He does not hold any shares in BDStar and has no affiliations with major shareholders or senior management.

Subject to shareholder approval at the company's third extraordinary general meeting in 2025, Mr. Meng will also join the strategy committee and the nomination committee. After this appointment, the number of directors who are also senior management or employee representatives will not exceed half of the total board members.
