Shuiyu Coal Mine restarts production after safety suspension

Shuiyu Coal Mine, a subsidiary of Shanxi Coking Coal Energy Group Company Limited, resumed production on September 12, 2025. The mine had been suspended due to a safety accident, as detailed in the company's 2025-038 announcement. Following rectification of identified issues and hazards, the mine successfully passed a resumption of production acceptance by the Lüliang City Emergency Management Bureau and Lüliang City Local Coal Mine Safety Supervision Administration.

The approval for resumption was confirmed by the Lüliang City Emergency Management Bureau and Lüliang City Local Coal Mine Safety Supervision Administration via "Lv Emergency Letter [2025] No. 143". Shuiyu Coal Mine, with an approved annual production capacity of 4 million tons, accounts for 8.18% of the company's total approved capacity.

The 15-day production halt is estimated to have impacted raw coal output by approximately 180,000 tons. The company emphasized that it would continue to enhance safety management, conduct regular risk assessments, and improve employee safety awareness to prevent future incidents. The financial impact of the event will be confirmed by auditors in their annual audit.
