Dabeinong reports strong August live hog sales growth

Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group reported total live hog sales of 70.05 million heads in August 2025, with cumulative sales for January to August reaching 512.91 million heads. Total sales revenue for August amounted to 1.121 billion yuan, contributing to a cumulative 8.485 billion yuan for the first eight months of the year. The average selling price for commercial hogs in August was 13.55 yuan per kilogram.

The company's controlled subsidiaries sold 35.22 million heads in August, generating 0.522 billion yuan in revenue. This represents a 21.45% month-on-month increase and a 53.93% year-on-year increase in sales volume, with revenue rising 19.18% month-on-month. The average weight of hogs sold was 126.91 kilograms, at an average price of 13.67 yuan per kilogram. Year-to-date, controlled subsidiaries sold 278.71 million heads, an increase of 25.03% year-on-year, with revenue up 17.09% to 4.357 billion yuan.

Investee companies also showed robust performance, selling 34.83 million heads in August, with revenue of 0.599 billion yuan. This marks a 14.57% month-on-month increase and an 83.90% year-on-year increase in sales volume. Revenue grew 9.71% month-on-month and 27.72% year-on-year. From January to August, investee companies sold 234.20 million heads, a 55.82% year-on-year increase, bringing in 4.128 billion yuan, up 43.04% year-on-year. The company noted that the sales growth is primarily due to the gradual release of production capacity.
