Sunlord Electronics: Two patent infringement lawsuits withdrawn

Shenzhen Sunlord Electronics Co., Ltd. has issued an update on its patent infringement litigation, revealing that two of the five cases brought against it by Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. have been withdrawn. Specifically, cases (2024) Huminchu 137 and (2024) Huminchu 136 have seen the plaintiff, Murata Manufacturing, file for withdrawal. The remaining three cases, (2024) Huminchu 133, (2024) Huminchu 134, and (2024) Huminchu 135, are currently still under review by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court.

The withdrawn case (2024) Huminchu 137 incurred a case acceptance fee of RMB 50, with RMB 25 to be borne by Murata Manufacturing. Sunlord Electronics maintains its non-recognition of the plaintiff's claims and states its commitment to actively defending its legal rights, emphasizing its respect for intellectual property and its own robust IP system. The company reported a research and development investment of CNY 277 million in the first half of 2025, a 23.82% year-on-year increase, and held 860 valid patents as of June 30, 2025.

The litigation's impact on current or future period profits remains uncertain, with the final outcome dependent on court rulings. Shenzhen Sunlord Electronics will continue to disclose progress in these cases as required by regulations.
