Wens Foodstuff sees mixed august sales, chicken revenue up, pig prices down

Wens Foodstuff Group Co., Ltd. announced its main product sales for August 2025, revealing a mixed performance. The company sold 116.71 million broiler chickens (including live chickens, fresh products, and cooked food), generating revenue of CNY 2.96 bn. The average selling price for live chickens was CNY 12.15/kg, a 5.20% month-on-month increase and a 7.40% year-on-year increase. The company also sold 10.79 million white feather chicken chicks during the month.

Conversely, Wens Foodstuff's pig product segment saw a decline in average selling prices. It sold 3.25 million pigs (including 2.74 million live pigs and fresh products, and 0.51 million piglets), achieving revenue of CNY 4.83 bn. The average selling price for live pigs was CNY 13.90/kg, a 4.66% month-on-month decrease and a 32.03% year-on-year decrease. The company attributed the year-on-year increase in pig sales volume to increased early-stage pig placements and external piglet sales, while the decline in average price was due to changes in the domestic pig market.
