Changan Automobile posts strong August production, sales growth

Chongqing Changan Automobile announced robust performance in its August 2025 production and sales report. For the first eight months of 2025, the company's total automobile sales reached 1,799,760 vehicles, with overseas sales contributing 404,878 vehicles. Production for the same period was 1,618,562 vehicles, representing a 4.03% year-on-year increase.

In August 2025 alone, Changan Automobile produced 217,263 vehicles, a 23.10% increase compared to the same month last year. Sales for August also saw a substantial rise, reaching 233,900 vehicles, up 25.00% year-on-year.

Within these figures, autonomous brands demonstrated strong growth. Autonomous brand production in August increased by 26.28% year-on-year to 180,751 vehicles, and sales rose by 29.62% to 196,227 vehicles. New energy vehicles experienced particularly impressive growth, with August production surging by 71.43% to 83,302 vehicles and sales jumping by 81.39% to 88,947 vehicles. The cumulative sales of new energy vehicles for the first eight months of 2025 reached 620,667 vehicles, a 55.92% increase from the previous year.
