Winall Hi-Tech Seed to join Sinochem Seed on maize breeding project

Winall Hi-Tech Seed Co. and its subsidiaries will participate in an R&D project led by Sinochem Seed Innovation Center Co., focusing on maize breeding. This transaction is expected to generate CNY 10 million in revenue for the company.

The transaction was approved by the company's board of directors, with related directors abstaining. It falls within the board's approval authority, as the cumulative transaction amount with Sinochem Seed Innovation Center and its related parties over the past 12 months, including this transaction, represents 0.88% of Winall Hi-Tech Seed's audited net assets, which is within the 30% limit for board approval. The company and its subsidiaries will receive CNY 10 million to support project activities and grant rights to Sinochem Seed Innovation Center.

This project aims to enhance maize seed innovation and competitiveness, aligning with the company's strategy to strengthen its core business. In a separate announcement, the company disclosed it received CNY 36,204,283.24 in non-recurring gains for the first half of 2025. Additionally, two other projects, "Research and Innovation System Construction" and "Silage Maize Variety Industrialization and Integration of Planting and Breeding," have closed, with residual funds totaling CNY 42,427,700 to be used for working capital.
