China Merchants Port reports mixed July volumes

China Merchants Port Group reported container volume of 1.73m TEU in July, down 0.9% year-on-year, though seven-month volumes rose 4.7% to 11.85m TEU. Mainland China terminals grew 0.4% while overseas terminals fell 3.9%.

Bulk and general cargo volume jumped 10.6% to 10.29m tons, driven by mainland China's 10.1% increase. The Bohai Rim region surged 21.7%. Overseas terminals recorded a 67.4% increase in bulk cargo.
