Hubei Energy power generation jumps 15% in June

Hubei Energy Group reported total electricity output of 3.649 billion kilowatt-hours in June 2025, marking a 14.68% year-on-year increase. Hydropower generation surged 106.98% during the month, while new energy sources including wind and solar power grew 69.55%. However, thermal power generation fell 25.23%. The strong June performance contrasts with year-to-date results, where total generation of 20.456 billion kilowatt-hours represents a 2.47% decrease compared to the same period last year.
