Jiangsu Guoxin subsidiary starts operations of new power unit

Jiangsu Guoxin Corp (SZSE:002608) announced that its subsidiary, Guoxin Shazhou Electric Power Co., Ltd., has officially launched the first of two 1 million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generating units on July 8, 2025, following 168 hours of full-load trial operation. The Guoxin Shazhou 2x100 MW expansion project, designated as a national-level planned energy initiative and a Jiangsu Province "Establish First, Modify Later" clean and efficient support power project, is located in Zhangjiagang City, under the jurisdiction of Suzhou. The new unit is expected to alleviate power supply constraints in southern Jiangsu. It incorporates advanced ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation technology, which boasts high parameters, low coal consumption, and strong peak shaving capacity.
