New Hope Liuhe independent director under investigation

New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd. (SZSE:000876) announced today that its independent director, Peng Long, is under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. The investigation stems from suspected severe violations of discipline and law. According to the announcement, Peng Long, a former deputy director at the Ministry of Education, is currently subject to disciplinary review by the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission stationed at the Ministry of Education, as well as a supervisory investigation by the Supervision Commission of Linfen City, Shanxi Province. New Hope Liuhe stated that Peng Long's other roles include membership on the Board's Remuneration and Assessment Committee, the Risk Control Committee, and the Nomination Committee. The company affirmed that the matter is not expected to have a significant impact on its production and operations, and it will continue to monitor the situation and fulfill its information disclosure obligations.
