Shenzhen Energy invests in Mawan power plant upgrade

Shenzhen Energy Group (SZSE:000027) has announced a significant investment in the first phase of an upgrade and transformation project at its Mawan Power Plant. The project, undertaken by its subsidiary Shenzhen Mawan Electric Power Co., involves constructing two 660-megawatt coal-fired power generation units that meet stringent environmental standards. The total investment is estimated at CNY 6,332.49 million, with CNY 1,304.50 million funded by Mawan Electric Power's own capital and the remaining amount through financing. The project was approved at the company's 35th meeting of the eighth session of the board of directors, in which Sheng Yangguai was approved as Vice President. Additionally, Shenzhen Energy has invested in the establishment of the "Fenghai County Urban Environmental Sanitation Integration and Green Recycling Industry Concession Project."
