Angang Steel announces resignation of independent director

On May 29, 2025, Angang Steel Co., Ltd. (SZSE:000898) announced the resignation of independent director Mr. Wang Jianhua, effective immediately. According to regulatory guidelines, independent directors cannot serve more than six consecutive years in the same listed company. Mr. Wang's resignation also includes his roles as Chairman of the Nomination Committee and member of various other committees. He will continue fulfilling his duties until a replacement is found. The company acknowledged Mr. Wang's contributions during his tenure. As of this announcement, Mr. Wang does not hold any shares in Angang Steel.
