Shanghai Pret's subsidiary secures major sodium-ion battery order

Shanghai Pret Composite Materials Co., Ltd. (SZSE:002324) announced that its holding subsidiary, Guangdong Histar Sodium Star Technology Co., Ltd. ("Histar Sodium Star"), has entered into a strategic supply agreement with an overseas client. Under the agreement, Histar Sodium Star will supply a minimum of 1 GWh of sodium-ion battery modules over the next four years, from July 2025 to December 2029. The batteries will be primarily used in residential, commercial, and telecom applications within the client's overseas markets. The company highlights the use of its polyanionic system in the batteries, citing structural stability, safety, cost-effectiveness, and environmental benefits. The strategic agreement signifies Shanghai Pret's entry into large-scale supply of sodium-ion batteries, promising substantial future order increases and contributing positively to the company's financial performance. The company cautioned investors to be aware of risks from unforeseen events that could affect the agreement.
