Da An Gene's Q1 2025 net profit soars despite revenue dip

Da An Gene Of Sun Yat-Sen University (SZSE:002030) announced a substantial surge in net profit for the first quarter of 2025, reaching CNY 52.92 million, a significant turnaround from a CNY -363.29 million loss in the same period last year, despite a 14.71% year-over-year decrease in revenue to CNY 169.14 million. As part of its strategic financial management, the company also intends to use idle funds for cash management, while adhering to regulatory compliance and risk control. Further, the company announced its intention to reappoint Zhido Accounting Firm, with this decision needing to be put to a shareholder vote. The company's Board of Directors recommends their continued role based on satisfactory performance and in order to maintain continuity. Zhido's audit fees for the year have been pegged at CNY 1.78 million.
