BYD proposes generous 2024 profit distribution, capitalization

BYD (SZSE:002594) announced a proposal for its 2024 profit distribution and capital reserve capitalization, subject to shareholder approval. The plan includes a cash dividend of CNY 39.74 per 10 shares, totaling CNY 12,077.248 million. Additionally, the company plans to distribute 8 bonus shares for every 10 shares held and capitalize 12 shares for every 10 shares held, using capital reserves. This is based on a total share capital of 3,039,065,855 shares. The distribution accounts for 30% of the net profit attributable to shareholders in 2024. BYD's net profit attributable to shareholders for 2024 was CNY 40,254.346 million. The company will maintain the distribution per share and capitalization ratio unchanged, adjusting the total distribution and capitalization amounts accordingly. BYD's board deemed the plan aligned with company growth and shareholder interests.
