FAW Jiefang to invest CNY10bn in low-risk wealth management

FAW Jiefang Group (SZSE:000800) announced plans to allocate up to ¥10 billion of its own funds to low-risk, principal-protected wealth management products offered by financial institutions. Approved at a board meeting on February 18, 2025, the investment aims to enhance capital efficiency without impacting normal business operations. The company's financial department will oversee the investments, ensuring no conflict of interest with the financial institutions providing the products. The investment period is set for 12 months, during which funds can be used on a rolling basis. FAW Jiefang states that this move will positively impact its overall performance and provide better returns for shareholders. The decision has been reviewed and approved by the independent directors.
