Bank of Shanghai announces new board chairman, senior management appointments

Bank of Shanghai (SSE:601229) held its 12th board of directors meeting on December 26, 2025. Key resolutions included the election of Gu Jianzhong as the new chairman of the board and Shi Hongmin as vice chairman. The board also approved the composition of its specialized committees, including the Strategy Committee, Related Transactions Control Committee, Risk Management Committee, Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Consumer Protection Committee.

In addition to board leadership, the meeting approved significant appointments to the bank's senior management. Shi Hongmin was appointed as the president and chief financial officer, while Hu Debin was appointed as vice president and chief information officer. Yu Minhua and Chen Lei were also appointed as vice presidents. Li Xiaohong was named board secretary.

Furthermore, Liu Fang was appointed as the chief auditor, pending approval from the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. Zhu Shuyuan and Wu Jun were appointed as business directors. The board also appointed Yao Qin and Du Jinzhao as securities affairs representatives. These appointments signal a comprehensive restructuring of the bank's leadership.
