Gehua CATV receives final disaster insurance payout of 28.3m yuan

Beijing Gehua CATV Network has announced the receipt of a final insurance payment totaling 28.346m yuan for damages sustained from torrential rains, flash floods, and mudslides in August 2023. These events affected its branch offices in Fangshan, Mentougou, Changping, and Huairou districts, as well as its subsidiary in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. The total includes prior advance payments of 5m yuan in 2023 and 7.696m yuan in 2024, which were reflected in the company's financial statements for those years.

The process of assessing and settling the claim was prolonged due to the severe nature and complexity of the damage, particularly in mountainous regions where accurate valuation of damaged pole line assets was difficult. The company confirmed that the final payment of 15.65m yuan was received in 2025.

This final insurance payout is expected to impact the company's current period profit, with the exact effect subject to audit by external accountants. Investors are advised to consider the investment risks.
