Shenzhen Airlines secures 2 bn yuan in initial equity financing round

Shenzhen Airlines has successfully closed its initial equity financing round, with Shenzhen Kunhang Investment Partnership investing RMB 2,000,000,000.00. This investment grants Kunhang Investment a 20.9134% equity stake in Shenzhen Airlines. Concurrently, Air China Limited, as the controlling shareholder, injected RMB 2,081,632,653.06, maintaining its 51.0000% ownership. This initial phase is part of a larger plan to raise RMB 16,000,000,000.00 in total.

Following this initial capital injection, Shenzhen Airlines' registered capital has increased to RMB 9,351,082,184.24. The new ownership structure sees Air China holding 51.0000%, Shenzhen International retaining 28.0866%, and Kunhang Investment acquiring 20.9134%. Both Kunhang Investment and Shenzhen International are controlled by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

The financing process began with Shenzhen Airlines announcing an open solicitation for investors on September 5, 2025, and concluded on November 5, 2025, with Kunhang Investment confirmed as the sole eligible investor. The transaction documents were signed on December 18, 2025. This move ensures Air China retains control of Shenzhen Airlines.
