MicroPort Endovascular MedTech announces leadership changes, board expansion

Shanghai MicroPort Endovascular MedTech announced that its chairman, Jonathan Chen, and director Huo Qingfu, have resigned from their positions and related special committee roles due to personal reasons, effective immediately. Following their resignations, neither will hold any further positions within the company.

In response, the board will expand from eight to nine members. The company's board of directors, at its eleventh meeting on December 15, 2025, approved the nomination of Sun Hongbin, Liang Min, and Liu Xudong as non-independent director candidates. Furthermore, Sun Hongbin has been elected as the new chairman of the board. These changes are contingent upon approval at a forthcoming shareholders' meeting.

Additionally, the board's special committee members have been adjusted to ensure smooth operations. Sun Hongbin will now chair the Strategy and Development Committee, while Ye Xiaojie will lead the Audit Committee, and Shi Daxiao will chair the Nomination Committee. These adjustments aim to optimize governance and leverage the expertise of the new leadership.
