China Southern Airlines sees strong passenger growth in November

In November 2025, China Southern Airlines and its subsidiaries reported an 8.68% year-on-year increase in passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers). This growth was observed across all segments, with domestic capacity rising 5.55%, regional up 9.75%, and international surging 17.44%. Passenger traffic (revenue passenger kilometers) also climbed by 10.42% year-on-year, driven by a 7.36% increase domestically, 12.38% regionally, and 18.99% internationally. The overall passenger load factor reached 86.29%, an increase of 1.36 percentage points.

Cargo operations in November 2025 also showed expansion, with cargo capacity (available freight tonne kilometers) up by 11.61% year-on-year. Cargo traffic (revenue freight tonne kilometers) increased by 7.17%. However, the cargo load factor decreased by 2.21 percentage points to 53.39%.

The company expanded its fleet by adding 7 aircraft in November 2025, including 5 A320NEO and 2 B737-8 aircraft. As of the end of November 2025, China Southern Airlines operated a total of 966 transport aircraft. New routes launched in November included Harbin-Ningbo-Harbin and Changchun-Haikou-Changchun, among others.
