China Eastern Airlines sees strong november growth across passenger, cargo traffic

China Eastern Airlines saw passenger capacity, measured by available seat kilometers (ASK), increase by 6.51% year-on-year in November 2025. This was accompanied by a 10.35% rise in passenger turnover (RPK) and an improved load factor of 87.37%, up 3.04 percentage points from the previous year. Cargo and mail turnover also showed strong performance, with a 13.30% increase in November.

The airline expanded its network, opening new domestic routes such as Guiyang-Jieyang Chaoshan and Nanchang-Yangzhou, and international routes including Beijing Daxing-Muscat. International routes like Shanghai Pudong-Melbourne and Shanghai Pudong-Phuket saw increased frequencies.

As of the end of November 2025, China Eastern Airlines' fleet totaled 825 aircraft. The airline acquired five new aircraft during the month, including two A321NEOs, two C919s, and one C909, while retiring two older passenger aircraft.
