Shanghai airport company sees strong november traffic growth

Shanghai International Airport Co. announced significant year-over-year growth in its November 2025 transportation production. Pudong International Airport reported a 15.47% increase in passenger throughput to 6.9716 million people, with aircraft movements rising by 9.21% to 45,616. Cargo and mail throughput at Pudong also saw substantial growth, up 14.16% to 0.3899 million tons. International routes at Pudong were particularly strong, with passenger traffic increasing by 21.03% to 2.7420 million and aircraft movements up 13.36% to 17,594.

Hongqiao International Airport also contributed to the overall positive performance, recording a 4.67% increase in passenger throughput to 4.1697 million people and a 1.48% rise in aircraft movements to 23,306. Cargo and mail throughput at Hongqiao grew by 6.75% to 0.0430 million tons. While domestic routes showed solid growth, international routes experienced mixed results, with a slight decrease of 0.51% in international passenger throughput to 0.1008 million, despite a 2.02% increase in international aircraft movements.
