Kai International takes delivery of new fishing vessel Junmeto

Shanghai Kai International Marine Resources Co., Ltd. (Kai International) has confirmed the successful handover of the Junmeto vessel to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pan Pacific Fishery (Marshall Islands) Co., Ltd. The new tuna purse seiner, built to replace the scrapped Lojet vessel, was delivered on December 10, 2025.

The construction of Junmeto was approved by the board on March 25, 2024, with Pan Pacific Fishery entering into a shipbuilding contract with Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The total construction price for the vessel was $22.88 million. The official keel-laying ceremony took place in September 2024.

The Junmeto is expected to commence operations and officially enter production in 2026, marking a significant step in Kai International's fleet modernization efforts.
