China Oilfield Services director resigns, re-elected as employee representative

China Oilfield Services Company Limited (COSL) announced that Mr. Xiao Jia will resign from his role as executive director on December 10, 2025, due to adjustments in the company’s corporate governance structure. Mr. Xiao's original term was set to expire on December 2, 2027. Despite his resignation, he will continue to serve the company and its controlling subsidiary as deputy party secretary and chairman of the labor union. His resignation will not impact the statutory number of directors or the normal operations of the board.

In a related development, COSL will hold an extraordinary general meeting on December 2, 2025, to discuss the cancellation of the Supervisory Board and amendments to the company's articles of association. Following these changes, the company convened an employee representative assembly on December 10, 2025. During this assembly, Mr. Xiao Jia was elected as an employee representative director, with his term commencing upon approval and lasting for three years.

Mr. Xiao Jia, born in 1982, currently serves as the deputy party secretary and chairman of the labor union at COSL. He previously held the position of executive director from December 2024 to December 2025. His career includes extensive experience in various roles within China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and its affiliates. He holds a Master's degree in World Modern and Contemporary History from Renmin University of China.
