Yueyang Forest & Paper schedules EGM for new board director elections

Yueyang Forest & Paper Co., Ltd. has announced an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on December 17, 2025, to elect new members to its Ninth Board of Directors. The meeting will address the proposed election of Liu Yan, Liu Lixin, and Wu Chonglan as directors, and Fu Xiaoping, Hu Haifeng, and Yang Yan as independent directors. This election follows the resignation of Mr. Li Zhan, who stepped down as vice chairman, director, and member of the nomination committee on December 5, 2025. Mr. Li Zhan held 386,000 shares in the company at the time of his departure.

The proposed director candidates, Liu Yan, Liu Lixin, and Wu Chonglan, currently do not hold company shares. Liu Yan serves as a party committee member and deputy general manager of China Paper Investment Co., Ltd. and chairman of Yueyang Forest & Paper. Liu Lixin, currently a director and general manager, previously held various management roles within the company and its subsidiaries. Wu Chonglan is the general manager of the operations management department (digitalization management department) at China Paper Investment Co., Ltd.

The independent director candidates, Fu Xiaoping, Hu Haifeng, and Yang Yan, also currently hold no company shares. Fu Xiaoping is the chief executive officer of Ronghe Electric Card (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. Hu Haifeng is a professor at Beijing Normal University and has served as an independent director since January 2022. Yang Yan is a professor at Hunan University and has served as an independent director since December 2024. The new board members will serve until the expiration of the Ninth Board's term.
