Huayang Group Xinneng commissions 200-ton carbon fiber project

Shanxi Huayang Group Xinneng Co., Ltd. (Huayang Group Xinneng), in collaboration with several partners, has announced the successful commissioning of its 200-ton per year high-performance carbon fiber project. The project, a key provincial initiative located in Datong City's Yungang Economic Development Zone, began construction in June 2024 and completed joint debugging and testing by June 2025, with full commissioning on November 30, 2025.

This facility will produce T1000-grade carbon fiber, known for its high strength, lightweight properties, and resistance to extreme temperatures and corrosion. The advanced material is slated for applications in aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing, wind power, new energy, and hydrogen energy storage sectors.

The project represents a crucial move in Huayang Group Xinneng's "dual-wheel drive" strategy, aiming to industrialize high-performance carbon fiber materials. This initiative is expected to boost the company's new materials industry, enhancing profitability and market competitiveness, though potential risks from raw material and market fluctuations are noted.
