Power Construction Corp sees overseas contracts surge despite slight overall growth

Power Construction Corp of China reported a total new contract value of 9,579.79 bn yuan from January to October 2025, representing a 0.95% year-on-year increase. Domestic contracts accounted for 7,339.95 bn yuan, a decrease of 4.45%, while overseas contracts grew by 23.88% to 2,239.84 bn yuan.

The energy and power sector saw its new contract value increase by 7.62% to 6,195.19 bn yuan. Within this segment, hydropower contracts surged by 48.18% to 1,585.32 bn yuan, and wind power contracts rose by 39.74% to 1,915.59 bn yuan. However, solar power generation contracts decreased by 34.80% to 1,436.93 bn yuan, and thermal power contracts fell by 42.24% to 381.21 bn yuan.

The water resources and environment business experienced a 26.77% decline in new contract value, reaching 896.01 bn yuan, primarily due to drops in water conservancy contracts and water environment governance contracts. The urban construction and infrastructure sector also saw a 6.77% decrease, with new contracts totaling 2,019.85 bn yuan.
