China Railway Construction wins bn in new projects

China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) recently announced the award of eight major projects, each valued over 1.5 billion yuan, totaling 496.29 billion yuan. This substantial win represents 4.65% of the company's audited operating revenue for 2024. The projects primarily involve railway construction and infrastructure upgrades across various regions of China.

Notable projects include the construction of new railway sections, such as the Hefei-Chizhou Railway and sections of the Wenzhou-Fuzhou high-speed railway, with project values of 66.84 billion yuan and 114.36 billion yuan respectively. Additionally, CRCC secured contracts for the upgrading of the Qian-Gui Railway in Guizhou and Guangxi, as well as station building projects for the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway.

The contracts also cover broader infrastructure developments, including a comprehensive upgrade project for the Jinan Zhangqiu Bumancun 4A-level scenic area valued at 24.40 billion yuan, and highway construction for the Hunchun-Ulanhot and Mudanjiang-Yanji expressways, valued at 49.39 billion yuan. These projects are scheduled with various construction periods, ranging from 744 to 1826 calendar days.
