Ronbay New Energy secures major CATL sodium-ion battery material partnership

Ningbo Ronbay New Energy Technology Co. (Ronbay Technology) announced a cooperation agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), designating Ronbay Technology as CATL's first-tier supplier for sodium-ion battery cathode materials. This agreement, effective immediately and valid until December 31, 2029, signifies international recognition of Ronbay Technology's product development capabilities and market position.

Under the terms of the agreement, CATL commits to procuring at least 60% of its total annual sodium-ion cathode material requirements from Ronbay Technology. If CATL's annual procurement reaches 500,000 tons or more, Ronbay Technology will provide more favorable pricing through cost reductions. The partnership aims to foster comprehensive technical collaboration in sodium-ion battery products and enhance competitiveness in various end markets, including power, energy storage, and digital applications.

This strategic collaboration is expected to positively impact Ronbay Technology's future operating performance by strengthening its position in the new energy battery industry. The agreement is a cooperation framework, with actual transactions subject to future specific purchase orders or written contracts.
