Juneyao Air reports mixed october results, cargo growth strong

Shanghai Juneyao Airlines Company Limited reported its key operating data for October 2025, showing a slight decrease in overall passenger capacity. The company's passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers - ASK) decreased by 0.81% year-on-year, with domestic capacity falling by 6.88% while international capacity grew by 18.29%. Passenger turnover (revenue passenger kilometers - RPK) saw a modest increase of 1.51% year-on-year, driven by a 30.57% rise in international RPK, despite a 6.18% decline in domestic RPK. The overall load factor improved by 1.99 percentage points to 87.16%.

Cargo and mail operations demonstrated stronger growth, with available tonne kilometers (ATK) increasing by 2.13% year-on-year and revenue tonne kilometers (RTK) rising by 4.33%. International cargo capacity (AFTK) surged by 36.48%, contributing to a 30.52% increase in international RFTK. The cargo and mail load factor also improved by 4.65 percentage points to 30.74%.

As of October 31, 2025, Juneyao Air operated a total of 93 A320 series aircraft and 10 Boeing 787 series aircraft. Its subsidiary, 9 Air, operated 26 Boeing 737 series aircraft. The company introduced zero aircraft and retired one aircraft in October 2025.
