China Southern Airlines sees strong operating growth in October 2025

For October 2025, China Southern Airlines and its subsidiaries reported a 7.53% year-on-year increase in passenger capacity, measured by available seat kilometers, driven by strong international growth of 15.29%. Passenger traffic, revenue passenger kilometers, also saw an 8.83% rise year-on-year, with international routes up 15.21%. The passenger load factor reached 87.89%, an increase of 1.05 percentage points compared to the previous year.

In cargo operations for October 2025, freight capacity increased by 6.75% year-on-year. Freight turnover climbed 8.06%, resulting in a freight load factor of 52.48%, up 0.64 percentage points.

As of the end of October 2025, the group operated a total of 959 transport aircraft, having introduced 4 new aircraft (2 A320NEO, 1 B737-8, and 1 C919) and retired 1 A319 aircraft during the month. The company did not add any new major routes in October 2025.
