Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical appoints new general manager, nominates director

Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited announced on November 11, 2025, that its board of directors approved the appointment of Lu Zhiyong as the company's general manager. This appointment is effective from November 11, 2025, until the expiration of the current board term. The board also approved the nomination of Lu Zhiyong as a candidate for non-independent director, a proposal that will be submitted for approval at the company’s second extraordinary general meeting in 2025.

Lu Zhiyong, born in May 1978, currently serves as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical. He joined Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company in 2001, holding various key positions including chief engineer, safety director, and manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department. He holds a bachelor of engineering degree in chemical process and is a senior engineer.

The board meeting, held via telecommunication, was attended by all 10 directors, who unanimously approved both resolutions. These proposals were previously reviewed and approved by the company's Nomination Committee.
