SAIC Motor reports strong October 2025 production, sales growth

SAIC Motor Corporation Limited reported total vehicle production of 466,324 units in October 2025, an 11.93% increase compared to October 2024. Year-to-date, cumulative production reached 3,758,893 units, up 22.61% from the previous year. New energy vehicle production surged by 34.16% in October to 221,747 units, contributing to a year-to-date total of 1,340,298 units, a substantial 44.08% rise.

In terms of sales, SAIC Motor sold 453,978 vehicles in October 2025, marking a 12.96% increase from October 2024. Cumulative sales for the year reached 3,647,248 units, a 19.53% growth year-on-year. New energy vehicle sales also saw robust growth, with 206,692 units sold in October (up 31.58%) and a year-to-date total of 1,289,519 units (up 42.47%).

Key contributors to this growth include SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., which produced 173,271 units and sold 167,956 units in October, and SAIC Passenger Vehicle Branch, which produced 93,437 units and sold 93,367 units during the same period. Exports and overseas bases saw a slight dip in October production and sales, down 5.79% and 6.71% respectively, but maintained positive cumulative growth year-to-date.
