China Merchants Energy Shipping reports Q3 2025 growth, names new general legal counsel

China Merchants Energy Shipping announced its third-quarter 2025 results, reporting total operating income of 6.73 billion yuan for the quarter, an increase of 10.95% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders increased by 34.75% to 1.18 billion yuan.

Year-to-date operating income reached 19.31 billion yuan, a slight increase of 0.07%, while year-to-date net profit attributable to shareholders was 3.30 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.06%. The company's total assets as of September 30, 2025, stood at 77.96 billion yuan, up 10.40% from the end of the previous year.

The company's Seventh Board of Directors approved the third-quarter report. Additionally, the board approved the appointment of Zhai Juan as the company's general legal counsel (chief compliance officer), with her term aligning with that of the Seventh Board of Directors. Zhai Juan, born in September 1979, holds a master's degree in international law and has extensive experience in legal and compliance roles within the shipping industry.

In other board matters, adjustments were made to the composition of the Audit Committee, Remuneration and Assessment Committee, and Sustainable Development Committee, reflecting changes in board personnel.
