Agricultural Bank of China names Wang Peishi new independent director

Agricultural Bank of China announced that Ms. Wang Peishi has officially assumed the role of independent director, effective upon the approval from the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Concurrently, Ms. Wang will serve as a member of the board's audit committee, the risk management and consumer rights protection committee (and concurrently as a member of the US regional institutions risk committee), and the connected transactions control committee. This appointment follows the departure of Ms. Liang Gaomeiyi, who concluded her term as an independent director. Ms. Liang also stepped down from her roles as a member of the board's audit committee, the risk management and consumer rights protection committee (and concurrently as a member of the US regional institutions risk committee), and as the chairperson and member of the connected transactions control committee. Ms. Liang confirmed that she had no differing opinions with the board and no matters to inform shareholders or creditors regarding her departure.
