Kweichow Moutai proposes Chen Hua as chairman, Zhang Deqin resigns

Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. announced on October 28, 2025, that the Guizhou Provincial People's Government has recommended Chen Hua as a candidate for director and chairman of the company. Concurrently, the recommendation suggests that Zhang Deqin no longer serve as the company's chairman and director. The company will convene board and shareholder meetings to deliberate on these adjustments, which will take effect upon approval.

In a related announcement on October 27, 2025, Kweichow Moutai received a written resignation from Zhang Deqin. He cited work adjustments as the reason for stepping down from his roles as chairman, director, and positions on board committees. His resignation became effective immediately upon submission. Kweichow Moutai expressed gratitude for his dedicated service and contributions to the company's high-quality development.

Chen Hua, born in March 1972, is currently the Party Committee Secretary of China Kweichow Moutai Winery (Group) Co., Ltd. and Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. His extensive career includes roles such as director of Guizhou Provincial Energy Bureau and various leadership positions within Guizhou Panjiang Coal and Electricity Group Co., Ltd., demonstrating significant experience in provincial administration and state-owned enterprises.
