GAC Group sees significant profit decline in Q3 2025

Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group) experienced a notable downturn in the third quarter of 2025, with revenue falling to 24,106,135,304 yuan, a 14.62% decrease year-over-year. The company reported a profit attributable to shareholders of -1,773,586,337 yuan for the quarter, marking a 27.02% decline from the previous year. For the nine-month period ending September 30, 2025, the total revenue was 66,271,787,952 yuan, down 10.49% year-over-year, and the net profit attributable to shareholders plummeted by 3691.33% to -4,311,837,015 yuan.

The Group attributed the decline primarily to intense competition in the domestic automotive industry and a rapid shift in demand structure, leading to lower vehicle sales and profitability. The profit before tax for the nine-month period also saw a significant decrease of 599.88% to -6,259,218,635 yuan. Basic earnings per share for the quarter were -0.17 yuan, a 30.77% decrease, while for the nine-month period, it stood at -0.42 yuan, reflecting a 4300% decrease.

Operating cash flow for the nine-month period showed a negative net outflow of -10,825,899,676 yuan, a substantial decline of 1201.20% compared to the previous year, mainly due to decreased vehicle sales and reduced cash receipts from goods. Total assets as of September 30, 2025, were 212,908,898,045 yuan, an 8.41% decrease from the end of the previous year.
