Xiangtan Electric announces board resignation, new employee director elected

Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Company Limited announced on October 22, 2025, the resignation of Mr. Shu Yuan, a non-independent director, from the company's Ninth Board of Directors. Mr. Shu Yuan also stepped down from his roles on the Board's Strategy Committee and Risk Control Committee, citing work adjustments. His original term was set to expire on January 16, 2028. The company confirmed that Mr. Shu Yuan's departure will not result in the board falling below the legally required number of members, nor will it affect the normal operations of the board. Xiangtan Electric expressed gratitude for his contributions.

Following Mr. Shu Yuan's resignation, the company's Sixth Employee Representative Congress held its fourteenth group leader joint meeting on October 22, 2025. During this meeting, Mr. Liao Jinggao was elected as an employee representative director for the Ninth Board of Directors. Mr. Liao Jinggao's term commenced on the date of his election and will continue until the expiration of the Ninth Board of Directors' term.

Mr. Liao Jinggao, born in 1970, holds a bachelor's degree and is a senior political engineer. His extensive career includes various leadership roles within Xiangtan Electric, such as general manager of the Structural Parts Business Unit, minister of Human Resources, and deputy general manager. He currently serves as the chairman of Xiangtan Electric's Trade Union. The company confirmed that Mr. Liao Jinggao meets all qualifications to serve as an employee director.
