Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower to appoint new non-independent director

Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Co., Ltd. is convening its third extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in 2025 to elect a new non-independent director. The company's controlling shareholder, China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., has nominated Yin Shuhong as a candidate for the position. Following a review, the board of directors has approved Mr. Yin Shuhong's nomination.

Mr. Yin, born in July 1975, holds a master's degree and is a senior engineer. He is currently the general manager and party committee member of Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Co., Ltd., and also serves as the general manager and party committee member of Huaneng Lancang River Upstream Hydropower Co., Ltd. His career within the Huaneng group includes leadership roles such as deputy chief engineer and director of the production technology department at Xiaowan Hydropower Plant, deputy director of the preparatory office and deputy director of the Longkaikou Hydropower Plant, and various managerial positions in marketing and operations.

If elected by shareholders, Mr. Yin's term will commence from the date of approval and will continue until the expiration of the term of the fourth session of the board of directors. The meeting is scheduled for October 2025 in Kunming, Yunnan.
