Spring Airlines: September 2025 sees international growth despite overall capacity dip

Spring Airlines released its September 2025 operating data, revealing a fleet of 134 Airbus A320 series aircraft with no new additions during the month. The airline introduced a new route from Yancheng to Osaka.

For September 2025, available ton-kilometers (ATK) decreased by 10.69% month-on-month but increased by 32.25% year-on-year. Available seat-kilometers (ASK) declined by 10.71% month-on-month but rose by 21.11% year-on-year. Passenger turnover (revenue passenger kilometers or RPK) experienced a 12.64% month-on-month decrease, yet it grew by 22.87% year-on-year.

The overall passenger load factor was 91.84% in September 2025, a 2.03 percentage point decrease month-on-month, but a 1.32 percentage point increase year-on-year. The comprehensive load factor stood at 81.01%, up 2.80 percentage points month-on-month but down 6.10 percentage points year-on-year. Cargo and mail load factor was 22.13%, improving by 6.07 percentage points month-on-month but decreasing by 32.40 percentage points year-on-year.
